I am a follower of Jesus Christ. His life, death, and resurrection are the reason I live.
I have been married to Hannah since October 2008 and have never met anyone who does not like her. We have two daughters, Lydia and Kesid.
My B.A. in News Editorial Journalism comes from Western Kentucky University, my M.Div from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
I am currently working on my Ph.D. in Gospels Studies at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary under Dr. Jonathan Pennington.
I am member, prayer leader, and Gospel Community Group leader at Immanuel Baptist Church.
I enjoy mountain biking, pretty much any sport involving a spherical object (therefore not Frisbee), spending time with my wife and daughters, blogging, reading, and doing occasional yard work.

I just discovered your blog via Dave Black’s. Great quote by Clement! I look forward to more.
I can relate with the information you posted about yourself: my wife and I are expecting our first child in December, we are in seminary (only I go to Southeastern, which, as we all know, is THE Southern Baptist Seminary).
The “the” is very important in our name. It makes us sound elite. Thanks for stopping by.
Patrick – thanks for posting this. I’m reading a lot of NTW and following these things closely.
Good to know that the little kid I met MANY years ago in the home of Tom & Diane is doing well! (yup, another former student of your dad, with the BBC connections too). My wife Laurel and i have 7 kids and live in upstate NY. God bless you and the arrival of your child!

Just wanted to leave a brief comment, saying how much I enjoy your blog posts… Good stuff, to say the least!
Blessings,
Matthew
Thanks for reading.
This is one of them neutral point of view blogs which offer us the truth as theists see it. Unfortunately for theist pseudo-researchers, the reality seems to be quite devoid of deities. Of course, the absence of God is one of His tests of faith, am I right? Looking forward for more objective posts of yours which surely enlighten every man, woman and child looking for unbiased information.
a Frisbee is indeed a round object.
do you mean you enjoy spherical objects?
touche, you really remind me of a friend I had in college…she would have totally caught that
*bows graciously*
Blessings to your Patrick. Enjoyed your site and seeing your family and calling. Found the blog through a post on the professor firing.
